The Admiralty announces: “This afternoon one of our long-range fighter patrols which had been sent to search for enemy mine-laying seaplanes reconnoitred the seaplane base at Borkun, an island of Germany in the Friesian group, and there found and attacked with machine-gun fire three of these seaplanes. “Our fighters were engaged by heavy anti-aircraft fire, to which they replied. All our aircraft returned safely.’’
