FARMERS’ PROTEST
WARTIME EXPENDITURE RADIO STATION BLOCK (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Opposition to the expenditure of £70,000 on a new building for the commercial radio station. IZB, was expressed by delegates of the Dairy Board' conference, and a remit was carried protesting to the Government, Speakers expressed the opinion that the expenditure was not justified while -he country was at war. Tlie mover, Mr. P, Davies, Bush district, said that if the Government wanted propaganda the Labour Party should pay for it. Mr C. P. Agar regretted the mention of politics. The remit should be taken, he said, on an economic basis without consideration of party. No matter what Government was in power, there would have been a protest against sue]) expenditure during war.
