Mainly because of the calling up of a number of Union Airways and Cook Strait Airways’ pilots, in addition to the taking over earlier of a number of machines operated by both companies. the commercial- air services operated on the trunk routes in New Zealand are to be further curtailed early next month.
From December 2 Union Airways service between Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin, now being maintained daily each way. will be reduced lo three times a week with no services on Sundays. As at present, the southbound machine will call at. New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wellington and Christchurch, and similar calls will be made by the north-bound machines.
The present schedule observed by the daily Auckland-Dunedin service will be adhered to.
