ENEMY PILOTS
EIGHT DISAPPEAR JOHANNESBURG, Oct. 20. Pilots' licenses held in the Union by enemy subjects, which are being withdrawn on the instructions of the chief control officer. Sir Theodore Truter, are held, by 14 enemy subjects. In serving the notices of the suspension on the pilots concerned, it was discovered, that eight of the 14 had disappeared. It is assumed that some have lied the country and are probably in Lourcnco Marques, but nevertheless the authorities are puzzled as to what could have happened to the missing pilots.
Ail civil air authorities have been inlormed of the decision to suspend the licenses held by these enemy .subjects and they will not be allowed to ily aircraft in the Union.
