Voluntary Aid Trainees

The advisability of effecting insurance to protect the board against claims which might arise out of the training of voluntary aid detachments at the Cook Hospital, either through injury to patients or to trainees, was brought before the Cook Hospital ■Board this week by the managingsecretary. Mr. C. A. Harries. He pointed out that some form of protection was desirable, and also that voluntary aids should be obliged (o enter into some form of agreement as to the obligations of training before being accepted. On the proposal of (he chairman. Mr. M. T. Trafford, it was decided to invoke the advice of Miss Lambie, Director of Nursing Services, in regard to certain questions relating to V.A.D. training.
