DENTAL CLINIC FUND PRACTICAL SUPPORT (Herald Correspondent.) The practical support given by the general public to the dental clinic which has been established at Malawai, was demonstrated again by the attendance at a dance and euchre tournament held in the Motu Hal} on Saturday night. The funds were considerably augmented by a competition, the prize being a lamb, which was won by Mr. J. R. Donaldson. A novelty waltz was won by Mrs. J. L. Barly and Mr. R. F. Jackson, and prizes for euchre were presented to Mrs. W. J. Reed, Mrs. W. Burburough, Mr. F. Donaldson, and Master S. Burburough.

Mr. F. Donaldson, chairman of the school committee, announced that the annual school picnic and sports would be held on December 13, and the annual prize-giving and break-up for the summer vacation on December 15. when the result of a further competition would be announced. Miss tJna Reed was the musician and extras were played by Mrs. Burburough.

Owing to the unseasonable weather, shearing operations have been delayed in the high country, rain having fallen on every day for over a week.
