WORLD RECORD CLAIMED

Miss Joyce Barry, Australian cyclist, recently completed a week’s ride for a total of 1107 miles, which is claimed to be a world record for a woman. After her effort was ended. Miss Barry stated that, with the knowledge she had gained, she was confident that she could add considerably to the distance. She had a good circuit with an excellent surface and mostly easy grades, but found it became very monotonous going round and round the one course. Miss Barry has an ambition to establish a women’s record from Fremantle to Sydney.
