CHANNEL CROSSINGS

FURTHER INSPECTION A second inspection of channel crossings in the town is being carried oid, according to a statement made by the borough engineer, Mr. E. R. Thomas, at a meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council last night.

“This inspection,’’ Mr. Thomas added, "is for the purpose of ascertaining if the necessary work has been undertaken by persons previously called upon to repair or construct crossings in accordance with the council’s by-laws. Crossings which have not received attention will he removed.” The report was adopted.
