The Gisborne group of the Left Book Club will hold another ol its twice-monthly meetings to-morrow evening in the club rooms above the Bon Accord tearooms. On this occasion the discussion will centre around “The Left Book Club in Wartime,” with particular reference to the part to be played by the Gisborne group in the present conflict. It is Intended also to disuss the manifesto issued by the conveners ol the conference for the construction ol peace and liberty, which was held in Auckland last week-end. This conference was convened by representatives of the Labour Party, the Communist Party, the League of Nations Union, the Women’s League, the University Students’ Association, various unions, and kindred bodies and the manifesto issued by the conveners is of particular interest, Mr. J, H. Hall will be in the chair
