WORK AMONG TROOPS
MR. R. A. LAIDLAW’S POST | CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION Offering his services while on holiday in England, Mr. R. A. La id law, general manager of the Farmers’ Trading Company. Limited. Auckland, has been appointed one ol' 'the two field directors of the Army Scripture Readers and Soldiers and Airmen's C 1 ristian Association, with headquarters at Westminster. Mr. Laidlaw lias been granted leave of absence for this pn rpose. The Army Scripture Readers and Soldiers and Airmen’s Christian Association is an organisation which has been in existence for 50 years, its main purpose being to carry out evangelical work among troops. During the Great War it established 19 hutments in France and 20 in England and in this war it is building 20 in each country.
