HIGH-PRICED YEARLINGS
At the American yearling saics at Saratoga, the stock of the English Derby winner, Blenheim (now known as Blenheim 11, because of another sire of that name in America) was in great demand, seven colts realising 10.1.000 dollars, and five fillies 39,800 dollars, a grand total of 140,800 dollars for 12 lots, or an average of 11,733 dollars. The top price was for a bay colt from the Man-o’-War mare Argoste, who brought 20,000 dollars, and the highest-priced filly, also a bay and from a mare *’ by Man-o’-War’s son, American Flag, changed hands for 12,400 dollars.
