EXCHANGE AUTHORITIES RULES FOR TRADERS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Reserve Bank announces that: a printed memorandum explaining the procedure in granting exchange authorities respecting the third period import licenses has been distributed to the trading banks and may be obtained by holders cf licenses from the trading bank through which their applications for remittance are lodged. The Reserve Bank’s ability to provide for remittances will depend largely on the extent to which exchange requirements are spread over the first eigiit months of 1940. and holders of licenses are invited to make early application through their bankers, thus giving the Reserve Bank, when issuing exchange authorities, some ideia of the requirements of license holders in general as to the date of remittance.
