What is claimed to be the first tung oil extracted in a British Dominion was recorded at the factory near K'aikohe yesterday. Nine hundred acres of trees were planted seven years ago. Now there are over 3000 acres with approximately 250,000 tung trees. It is expected to export two tons this year. Tung oil is worth £2OO a ton.
