ON ACTIVE SERVICE
Don Stirling, of Oamaru, former New Zealand professional welterweight boxing champion, is at present on active service in England. He is in the Air Force. He held the welter title on two occasions, and at his best he was a most colourful boxer. Norman Jenkins, well-known professional welter-weight, and Doug. Eddington, professional light-weight, are two other Oamaru boys now in military camps in New Zealand.
