CARD EVENING (Herald Correspondent.) The final of a series of aggregate flag five-hundred tournaments organised by the Makaraka branch of the Labour Party was held in the Makaraka Hall recently. There was a large attendance and the play proved very keen.

The winners of the aggregate prizes for the lour evenings were:—Ladies. — Mrs. Ashdown. Gentlemen. —Mr. Heaslip. Prizes won during the evening were: —Winning table, most flags Messrs. Jonasen, Dick, Marshall, and L Ingram. Ladies with most clips.— Mrs. Graham, 1; Mrs. Ashdown, 2. Gentlemen with most clips—Mr. Robinson, 1; Mr. Livingston, 2.

It was announced that another series would be held early in the new year.
