FRANKTON VALUES
DEMAND FOR SHEEP Slightly better prices than last week were secured for ox, cow and heifer beef at the Frankton stock sale on Tuesday. Only a medium yarding of fat cattle was penned. Prices for heavy prime bullocks ranged up to £l3 15s, while heavy prime heifers made up to £lO 3s.
There was a full yarding of fat sheep, consisting mainly of wethers, with ewes in shorter supply. These met with a steady competition and last week’s rates were maintained. Fat lambs and an offering of two-tooth wethers also sold readily.
