SOCCER IN ENGLAND
A minimum gate charge of a shilling, permitting it to be less in the case of servicemen and women and boys, lias been fixed for war-time soccer games in England. Match receipts will be divided between the clubs on Clip-tie terms, and 2 per cent will be claimed by the League mainly to meet the cost of the insurance of players. For each match the 11 players and one reserve are to receive not more than oOs each. It is also laid down, that travelling expenses will not be allowed in the case of home matches and the payment of bonuses will be suspended. Players will be permitted to play for another club within reasonable distance of their homes or work by the land and Wales. Each competition will consent of their own clubs, but they will be debarred from taking part in a recognised competition outside Engbe made up of clubs within a radius of 50 miles.
