Troops at Ingleburn camp of the Second A.I.F. wrecked and burned one canteen and stoned another. About 200 men took part in lire demonstration as a protest against the prices charged in the canteen. Police in the Liverpool district were called on to quell the disturbances. but before they arrived tlie canteen had been burned out and the troops had been dispersed by heavy rain. The canteens had been declared black since Saturday. The troops, it is stated, were also exasperated by the fact that they had been refused wet canteens. ,
