CONTINUE AS USUAL ADVERTISERS CONFER (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The eighth annual meeting ol’ the Association of New Zealand Advertisers (Inc.) was held yesterday. The president, Mr. E. L. Rutledge, in his opening address, stressed the advice of Empire leaders that they should “carry on.” and urged the industry generally and advertisers to carry on their publicity in all media. The annual report referred lo the closer co-operation which had been brought about with the newspapers in the establishment of a uniform audit of circulation, the first certificate issued being before the meeting. Progress was also reported in regard lo the revision of the signs and hoardings regulations which, it was stated, would, when completed, probably be adopted throughout New Zealand. The following officers were elected: President. Mr. E. L. Rutledge; vicepresidents, Messrs. H. G. Miller and W. .1. Chartres; council. Messrs. .1. H. Simpson. R. J. McCallum. C. S. Loughlin, W. Cinders. C. H. Roser. A. R. Wright and S. S. Scott: lion, treasurer. Mr. A. McElwain.
