Car in River
A coupe which left, its parking place near the City Band room and rolled over the riverbank into the mud, coming to rest with its front wheels deep in the softer clay at the water’s edge, provided some interest for lunch-time passers-by and the staffs of neighbouring firms and institutions between 12.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. to-day. The car was reported to be owned by Mr. 11. B. Smythc, and had been left parked on the new municipal parking area, which lias a gentle slope towards the Taruheru River.
