FIRST APPRAISEMENT DISTRICT WOOL CLIP GISBORNE ON FRIDAY OTHERS AT “SAME TIME” Advice was received by the Gisborne Wool Brokers’ Association to-day that appraisements of wool at Tokomaru Bay and Tolaga Bay would be considered "at the same time” as that in Gisborne, which will commence on Friday. This advice came in the form of a telegram and without any other explanation. Therefore, it is not known l he order in which the appraisals will be made in this district, but it is thought that the work will commence in Gisborne on Friday, and following that the valuers will proceed to the Coast to attend to the business at the two centres there. Between them, Tokomaru Bay and Tolaga Bay are expected to have from 2200 to 2300 bales ready for the appraisers. The Gisborne total a few days ago was stated to be from GSOO and 7000 bales, with the possibility of an increase if wool came in from the country in large quantities during the early part of the week. No official revision of the original figure has been made yet, but as fine weather has helped operations in the shearing sheds it would not be l surprising to find at least a slightly larger total ready for the appraisers on Friday.
