SCHEME 13 MEN DISMISSED

A departmental officer visited' Foxton recently and went on to a gorsecutting job on which No. 13 scheme men were employed. Later lie issued instructions to the foreman to dismiss the four men engaged on the work. They were paid off the same night and have not since been re-engaged. A report to this effect was submitted to the monthly meeting of the Foxton Borough Council by the clerk, Mr. W. Trueman
