RADIO PROGRAMMES

MANAWATU VIEW The Manawatu branch of the National Council of Women this week expressed “strong disapproval of the action of the director of commercial broadcasting, Mr, C. G. Scrimgeour. in descending to the use of anonymous letters in the Sunday session when non-churchgoers looked forward to something better.” It was decided to ask the headquarters of the movement to draw the attention of the Prime Minister to the protest. It having come to the knowledge of members that protests were being made regarding German music being included in radio programmes, the branch registered its hope that this music would still be included in broadcasts.
