KAITARATAHI NEWS

(Herald Correspondent.) The first of a series of euchre tournaments was held in the Kaitaratahi Hall last week, there being the usual attendance of players. The prize-win-ners were: —Ladies.—Mrs. J. Lucas, 1; Mrs. G. Croon, 2. Gentlemen.—Mr. W. Lovelock, 1: Mr. B. Mulloolv, 2. Those present included Mesdames J. Lucas, N. Wilson, G. Croon. L. Crosswell, and B. Joll; Misses R. Williams, Lovelock and G. Williams. Mr. C. G. Calvert, agricultural instructor, paid a visit to the Waipaoa School on Friday afternoon. He arranged the dote of the school flower show and calf crub day.
