IMPRESSIVE TOUR

ARMIES OF ALLIES DOMINION MINISTERS VALUABLE CONTACTS SPIRIT OF THE TROOPS (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Nov. 16. Circles connected with representatives of the Dominion and Indian Governments, who have just returned to London after nearly a week spent in company with the Dominions Secretary, Mr. Anthony Eden, in France, stress the very satisfactory character or the contacts established, both official and personal, and their real value to both sides is emphasised. The party motored more than 1200 miles and saw a good deal of the British Expeditionary Force as well as visiting the Maginot Line. They had conversations with both the High Commands and met Marshal Gamelin while they were in Paris. A feature of the visit, however, was the constant and cordial contacts established with the rank and file of both armies and the enthusiasm with which the visitors were greeted by the troops where ever they went. The representatives of the Dominions' and the Indian Governments and Mr. Eden were deeply impressed by the fine spirit of the two armies. They also came away with a very favourable opinion both or the professional accomplishment of the directive personnel and the efficiency of the vast organisation which stands behind the British Expeditionary Force.
