GISBORNE CLUB MEETS OFFICIALS APPOINTED Officers for the ensuing year's carnivals and other club activities were appointed at a recent meeting of the management committee of the Gisborne Amateur Surf and Swimming Club.

Advice was received that Dr. Rice had been appointed a water polo judge and Mr. Miller a diving judge on the list of officers for the Hawke’s Bay swimming centre.
Mr. C. E. Brown offered to present a trophy for competition between the Wainui and Gisborne surf club teams, the winner to be decided on the best five water polo matches during Die season. His offer was accepted and Mr. Wnuehop was authorised to draw up the necessary rules.
