The Blackball Golf Club in Queensland claims an Australian record for this. Playing in the Mathcson Cup on its course A. J. Kelly holed out in one over 307 yds. Frank Melius, assisted by a gale, is credited with a hole in one of 374yds at Los Angeles, America.
