BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS

TOLAGA FLOWER SHOW KEEN INTEREST SHOWN PHOTOGRAPHS ADMIRED (Herald Correspondent.) The Tolaga Bay Horticultural Society held a very successful show in the Reynolds Hall this week. A record response by exhibitors fully justified the society in staging a show this season and the committee's efforts were amply rewarded. The judges remarked on the beauty of most of the flowers displayed, the basket of blue flowers being specially admired. Keen interest was shown in the photographic section. Local amateur photographers had some splendid studies on view. The champion photograph, by Mr. Bagiev, Napier, was greatly admired.

The children's sections, as usual, were keenly contested and amongst the large number of entries some splendid specimens of school work were exhibited, particularly in the handwork. The secretary, Mrs. A. J. Reid, was complimented on her work The judges were:—Cut flowers, Mrs. L. T. Barnard, and Mrs. C. 11. Bull; decorative. Mrs. R. Dobson; photographic, Mr. R. R.
