Violent attack
PRETENCE ALLEGED PACT NOT WANTED TACTICAL DECEPTION BACKING OF BRITAIN (Elec. Tel, Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Nov. 16,.2.45 p.m.) MOSCOW, Nov. 15. A few hours after the Finnish Minister, M, Passikivi, had returned to Helsinki, the Moscow radio launched a violent attack against the Finnish ' Government.
Accusing Finland of being backed by Britain the announcer declared that the Finnish “pretence’’ that they were eager for an agreement with the Soviet was only a tactical move to mislead world opinion.
“They do not want an understanding with the Soviet," declared the radio announcer. “They are continuing the policy.”
He added that British capitalists regarded Finland as a barrier against the barbarous east. “The capitalists have carried on trade with Finland at a loss to themselves for 20 years, from which cause the anti-Soviet policy of the Finns has sprung," he concluded.
