NEARLY 900 PATIENTS

AUCKLAND HOSPITAL UP TO 191 SOLDIERS (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. With 891 beds occupied, the total number of patients in the Auckland Hospital yesterday was probably a ’record for the institution. The high total is largely due to the considerable influx during the past few days of soldiers, most of whom are suffering from mild influenza. The soldiers in the hospital and the Auckland Infirmary on Wednesday night totalled 176, and this total was increased by about 15 yesterday.
