EASING IN VALUES
CATTLE AND SHEEP STORTFORD LODGE (Pur Pruss Association.) HASTINGS, this clay. A smaller yarding of fat cattle met with a quieter market at Stortford Lodge yesterday, when values somewhat eased off. The bidding lacked spirit, as some butchers secured their requirements in last week’s heavy yarding.
Store cattle met with no demand whatever, selling - being lifeless and dragging throughout. Values failed to reach last, week’s levels, except for exceptional pens.
Store sheep showed no further weakening tendency, values keeping well up to those ruling recently. Little interest was shown in the fat sheep section, where prices showed a decline. Realisations were:—
