lambs and sheep SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED WETHERS UP TO 5D The Gisborne buying schedule for export lamb and mutton was announced to-day. Lamb rates are on the basis indicated yesterday, 7£ per lb for prime Southdowns and 7Jd for prime crossbreds. The basis for wethers is 5d per lb, and for ewes 3d.

The present schedule is expected to be more or loss constant throughout the season, although producers believe that there may be some small variation later on to compensate for the additional weights of wool on the lambs and sheep and differentiations for shorn and woolly lambs.

The schedule announced to-day is as follows:

Lambs.—Prime Southdowns: 361 b. and under, 7/d: 371 b. to 421 b., 7ifd; 431 b. to 501 b., 7i!d; 511 b. and over; Prime crossbreds: 361 b. and under, 7Jd; 511 b. and over, 6?d; seconds, 361 b. and under, 71d; 371 K and over, Gjjd. Wethers. —Prime, 481 b. and under, sd; 49!b. to 561 b, 4.'.c1; 571 b. to 641 b., 4Jd; 651 b. to 721 b., 4d; 731 b. and over, 33d; seconds, 561 b. and under, 4Vd; 571 b. and over, 3Jd. ■Ewes. —Prime, 641 b. and under, 3d; 651 b, and over, 2Ad.
