HISTORICAL REVIEW

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL DATA TO BE OBTAINED An historical review of the Cook County since its inception to the present date is to be prepared by the county clerk, Mr. F. T. Robinson, for submission to the next council meeting, on which date a dinner is to be held by councillors on the occasion of the last meeting in the first century of New Zealand's progress.

Cr. F. S. Bowen, who moved in this direction, urged that something should be placed on record to marie the occasion, which was an important one in the history of the county. He said that in holding the dinner no expense need devolve on the council's funds.
