Urgent Work Hindered
There is a distinct possibility that new consumers will not be able to g"' the advantages of electricity owing to the Customs Department refusing permits for the importation of certain materials, according to a report to the Mnnawatu-Oroun Power Board by the chief engineer, Mr. W. A. Waters. H<* stated that last month he ordered £ 1(300 worth of’copper cables required for urgent work, but so far the agent had been unable to secure the necessary permit to import.
