I EXHIBITION CONCEPTION j Apart from the natural disappointi ment. which may be felt by residents
of provincial towns regarding the representation of their respective centres, there is ground for much satisfaction among New Zealanders in the scope and character of the CenI tennial Exhibition. This view was expressed by the Gisborne resident who made the comments quoted above as to the scale
I model of New Zealand and Gisborne’s ;! modest part in that publicity medium. . He was able to spend the greater part i of three days at the Exhibition, and . much regretted that lie had not a ■ week to spare. It could not be taken ; in in a hasty visit, he said. ! The general effect of New Zealand | publicity on visitors from overseas i must be stimulating, he pointed out. | Every attraction that the Dominion I could offer was displayed in a colouri ful way, and those responsible for flic i displays were certain of making a I definite impression overseas. | He strongly advised all who could j possibly arrange lo see the Exhibition j to do so, and to spare at least a few j days so that each section might be | done thoroughly.
