Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Clinkard, Wanganui, have been advised that their son, Pilot Officer Derek Clinkard. of the Royal Air Force in England, has been promoted to flying-officer. Mr. T. F. Salmon, entomologist at the Dominion Museum, Wellington, has had two photographic prints accepted and hung at the annual exhibition of the Royal Photographic Society, London. One is in the pictorial section and Ihe other is in the scientific section. The scientific study has been reproduced in The Year’s Photography, a publication which reviews prints selected from the most outstanding works at the society’s exhibition in London.
