Fishermen Indignant
Open indignation at the action of a Napier trawler, in dragging its net along the Westshore and Bay View beaches, close to the shore, was expressed by fishermen fishing from the beach last week-end. The schnapper were biting well at the time and it appeared that some good catches were about to be made, but the trawler proceeded along the beach, a few yards from the shore, forcing the fishermen to pull in their lines to prevent fouling the passing net, which removed all hope of a schnapper meal for the men on the shore Trophy Cups and Shields, sterling silver and E.P.N.S. Recently selected in England by Mr, Stoneham, direct from the manufacturer; new designs and prices.—Stoneham's, Jewellers. Gisborne.* ;
