The Colonial Office announces that it has undertaken, as a war measure, to purchase the whole of the 1939-40 1 crop of British West African cocoa j and has undertaken to offer to purI chase the maximum quantities of | cocoa produced from the Windward ; Islands and Ceylon. ; These quantities are to be based on j the normal shipments to the United j Kingdom in past seasons.
