“HARMLESS” LETTERS
AUSTRALIAN PERMISSION
(Reed. Nov. 14, 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 14
The Minister of Defence, Mr. R. G. Menzics, announces that "harmless” personal letters may be sent by Australian residents to friends and relatives in Germany or territories occupied bv the enemy. It is officially announced that the Federal Government is acting ill cooperation with the British Government in this matter, but arrangements for the despatch of such letters have not yet been completed.
