OBITUARY

DAUGHTER OF PIONEER A daughter of Mr. Allan Charles O'Neill, who arrived in New Zealand in 1842 in the barque Timnndra to plan the (own of New Plymouth in his capacity of civil engineer. Miss Annie Catherine O’Neill died at her residence, Dimonoil, Bayswater, Auckland. Miss O'Neill was one of Auckland's. oldest, residents. After her father had been in Now Plymouth, ho returned to Ireland, where ho married Miss Anne Sophia 8011, the daughter of the late Captain Humphrey Bell, and, with his wife, he came back to New Zealand in the ship Pilgrim in 1850, living in Auckland until his death.
