TRAWLER HITS ROCK
SUNK OFF WHAKATANE CREW OF FOUR SAFE (Por Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. The fishing trawler Waiwera, owned by Wailemata Fisheries, Limited, Auckland, is reported to have struck a rock and sunk oil' Whale Island, seven miles off Whakatane, Bay of Plenty, The crew of four is reported to be safe.
