OVER SIEGFRIED LIME

NEW ZEALAND AIRMAN

LONDON, Nov. 1

New Zealand and Australian airmen seen at an aerodrome in France the other day were killing the time by practising bombing. The machines did not swoop from the sky, but took full advantage of cover until the last moment.

Australians and New Zealanders are specially trained in this method, and they fly bombers as easily as fighters. One New Zealander who flew over the Siegfried Line, reconnoitring and photographing, said of the experience:- —“It was as quiet as a Sunday afternoon. I have had more exciting solo flights back home.’"
