BENEFIT TO AMERICA
EXPORT OF AEROPLANES
MASS PRODUCTION
(Reed. Nov. 13, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 11
The Washington correspondent of the New York Times says that the new policy ot permitting the export of United States service types of planes is motivated partly by the desire of experts to see the equipment tested under combat and also the more important economic consideration of the expansion of the United Slates production to enable a steadier and cheaper source of supply of military aircraft than is available undef the hitherto cautious purchasing policy of the army and the navy. Already the services have benefited by important price reductions in aeroplane engines, , this being attributable directly to foreign orders of a sufficient size to enable mass production.
