COASTAL TRADE

The Wainui. from South Island ports and Wellington, has been delayed by adverse weather at Napier and as soon as she/completes there, probably to-morrow or Wednesday, she will come on to Gisborne. The Kiwitea completed the discharge of West Coast cargo at Gisborne on Saturday and sailed for Greymouth. The Kopara loads at Auckland today and to-morrow for Coast bays, Gisborne and Napier. The \ - esscl is due here on Thursday. The Pakura, which resumes in the East Coast trade this week following annual overhaul at Auckland, loads cement at Portland to-morrow and is to call at Gisborne on Friday. The Margaret W. loads at Auckland to-dav and to-morrow for Tokomaru Bay,' Tolaga Bay and Gisborne. The ship arrives here on Thursday.

The Pukeko worked Napier to-day and arrives at Gisborne to-morrow morning to discharge general cargo from Wellington.

DUBLIN'S SHIPBUILDING

Prospects of shipbuilding being revived in Dublin have received a further setback owing to the outbreak of war. states the "Syren and Shipping." At a recent meeting of the Dublin Trades Council a letter irom the Eire Department of Industry and Commerce was read staling that owing to the outbreak of hostilities negotiations with the Dockyard Company for the re-opening of its former shipyard had been adjourned indefinitely.

MISHAP TO STEAMER.

With two propeller blades damaged, the Canterbury Steam Shipping Company’s motor vessel Storm put into Lyttelton on Friday. She was en route from Wellington to Dunedin when the mishap occurred, and it is thought that the propeller struck some floating object. The Storm will .enter dry dock at Lyttelton.
