EXTENSIVE PLANTATIONS
When explaining the types of land and the farming operations carried out at Flock House, Mr. J. G. Mitchell, addressing the Palmerston North Rotary Club, said that on the seaward side of the orooerty there had been 50,000 to 70,000 trees planted every year since 1924. This forest area was a decided potential asset for, provided the fire risk could be eliminated, it would provide valuable millable timber.
