EXPORT EXPANSION

BRITISH ACTION URGED fßecd. Nov. 9, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 8. Lord Elibank, in the House of Lords, urged the Government to foster Britis’h export trade. As Germany was driven from the seas, the door was open to Dominion, colonial, South American and other markets. He complained that fear of the contraband restrictions was holding up food from the Dominions in the docks. He criticised the present system of control of exports. Lord Temp.lemore, replying, said the Government was fully alive to the situation and added' that the chief countries with which Britain wanted export trade were the United States, Canada. Scandinavia, Belgium and Holland.
