CONSTANT VIGIL BY ALLIED PLANES
FIRST LINE OF DEFENCE IN THE AIR OMINOUS NAZI TALK IN TURKEY (Elec. Tel. Copyright,—United Press Assn.) (Recti. Nov. 6, 2.40 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 5. Renter’s correspondent with the British Expeditionary Force in France says that the Allied air forces have established constant air patrols across the German lines Irom Switzerland to Luxembourg. They are chiefly watching for reconnoitring aircraft, which is increasingly active.
They also are forming a first line of defence against raids on Paris and even on London.
A Paris message quotes the Istanbul correspondent ot the Paris Soir who reports that high German military instructors are leaving Turkey and others are to depart before December 31. They are declaring: “The war will be here by January; meanwhile we will do nothing.”
The correspondent states that this form of propaganda is not meeting with local success in Turkey. Nazi technicians of all kinds arc returning to Germany, abandoning important work.
