SKIPPER OF TRAWLER
REMOVAL OF MINE HARDLY IN WATER SWIM TO BEACH (Elec. TG. Copyright-—United Press Assn.) (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 12 noon. RUGBY. Nov. 6. A daring exploit is reported of an east coast trawler skipper, Captain Leo Nomyn, whose house was threatened with damage by the explosion of a drifting mine for a second time within a week. Captain Romyn swam out (o the mine and pushed it in front of him to a part of the beach clear of the sea wall, where later the horns of the mine were removed, rendering it harmless.
