YANKEE TOURNAMENT

WAIROA TENNIS CLUB LADIES’ DRAW MADE (Special to Uig Herald.) WAIROA. this day. Despite adverse weather, there was a good entry for the combined doubles Yankee tournament played on the Wairoa Tennis Club’s courts. Many close and interesting games were witnessed, Mrs. Brewer and Stuart emerging the winners after going through the tournament without a loss. The thanks of the eiub are due to the ladies for providing afternoon tea. It is the intention of the club to continue holding these tournaments at regular intervals throughout the season. The following is t the draw for ; ladies' tournament to be held ot Wednesday afternoon:— Mrs. McDonald v. Miss P. Brownlie; Miss Jefferson v. Mrs. Pinel; Mrs. Mrs. McArdle v. Mrs. Mcßea; Mrs. Jardine v. Miss Hill; Miss N. Nolan v. Miss D. Svensen; Miss M. Brownlie v. Mrs. R. Hill; Mrs. Pidduck v. Mrs. Harker; Mrs. Newell v. Mrs. O’Malley; Miss Ormond v. Mrs. Brewer; Mrs. Pemberton v. Mrs. Crichton; Mrs. Signall v. Mrs. Young; Mrs. Roberts v. Mrs. Litchfield; Mrs. Tomlinson v. Mrs. Petchell.
