FURY IN BERLIN

“JEWISH PROFITEERS” PARIS REMINDER (Reed. Nov. 6, 11 a.m.) LONDON. Nov. 5. The Berlin radio gave full expression to Germany’s anger over the lifting of the arms embargo by tho United States. The Berlin morning broadcast declared that the American iction was “nothing but the machinations of Jewish war profiteers.” German newspapers rail against the United States, which are charged with wanting to draw profits from the war without sharing in its risks. The French feelings are summed up as follows: “The lifting of the arms embargo is also the lifting of American shields against barbarism and Hitler.”

Jugoslav newspapers declare that the lifting of the embargo is welcomed by the small nations of Europe, which have been living in fear and anxiety for years.

Tlie Rumanian newspapers bail the lifting of the embargo as a deathblow to Germany. The Hungarian press sees the lifting of the embargo as an. outright alliance with the democracies.
